What are the consequences for Cybercrime in the UAE?Access to Internet has eliminated the distance amongst individuals in different regions and have strengthen their relations via regular digital communication. However, every region has their own control over internet connection and restrictions enforced as per their public policy. Every nation has its own public policy that is formed based on public morality, public interest and national security. The United Arab Emirates has restricted some digitalized contents such as Pornography, Nudity since it is against its public moral. Therefore, every Internet Service Provider in this country is obligated to follow this regulation and block access to website, webpages that contains content, which falls under these Prohibited Content Categories.  Article 15 of the New Cyber Crime Law states that an offence for persons to intentionally and without permission capture and/or intercept communications online. This offence is punishable by fine not less than AED 150,000 and not exceeding AED 500,000. To report a crime in UAE, the UAE’s federal Public prosecution launch several pipelines such as eCrime website, Dubai Police’s website and the “My Safe Society” app.
